Team 10192: Robotic Rage

Robot Design Information

First, we decided what missions we were going to attempt based on our difficulty matrix. Then we decided what attachments would be needed. We made the base of our robot in the shape of a square. We made it that way because it guards the wheel from rubbing against anything. We also made it that way because the square base can hold attachments. We put a light sensor on the front.  We had a problem with the height of the light sensor so we had to change that. There were many different variations that were necessary before the final design.

Research Project Information

We did a team brainstorming activity to decide a topic that interested everyone. We determined that a constellation is an area that everyone was interested in learning/ teaching. As we researched existing information, we found it difficult to understand. With the suggestions from the experts at NASA and the Air & Space, we decided to create a website that consolidated many different forms of information: videos, games and hands-on activities for a teacher to enhance teaching and the student’s learning. We tested our theory by teaching a hands-on lesson to a 1st grade class.
