Qualification Info - How To Qualify
In order to qualify to a world or state level competition, your team has to qualify by one of the ways below. A few pointers to help you team reach these goals are, make sure you are prepared for each competition, make sure you have a complete and working robot, bring your engineering journal, and have autonomous programs for skills and qualification matches.
State Qualifications
These awards qualify you for the state championship (all awards are at regional levels)
Excellence Award - Great overall performance in robot design, engineering notebook, judges meeting, skills, and qualifications
Design Award* - Best notebook and judges interview
Skills Champion* - Best combined driver skills and programming skills
Tournament Champion - Top alliance of 2 teams, against other teams
Tournament Finalist* - 2nd place alliance of 2 teams, against other teams
Other qualifiers
Skills ranking - If a team wins two or more awards that qualifies them for states, the judges will go down the skills list for your state/region and choose the top teams that have not yet qualified for states. (These teams are chosen after all regional competitions are over)

US Open Qualifications
You have to win one of these awards at a regional level in order to qualify for the US Open. Coaches are limited to a maximum of entering 4 teams from their school/club.
